What should I wear on my hiking adventure?
We recommend close-toe footwear with a grippy tread, layers to adjust to the weather, a hat and sunglasses.
What does Mad Desert Trekking provide?
For every adventure, we provide backpacks for each hiker to use, bottles of purified water, healthy trail snacks and refreshments following the hiking adventure.
What emergency wilderness medical training do Mad Desert Trekking guides have?
All guides with Mad Desert Trekking are certified in Wilderness First Aidas, as Wilderness First Responders or as EMTs.
Can Lyft or Uber get me to the trailhead?
Sure, a ride from Lyft, Uber or a cab all work great. See you at the trailhead.
What’s a good tip to offer the guide?
The recommended gratuity is 20% the cost of the tour. The amount is at your discretion.
What if I cancel my tour?
A full refund is offered for tours cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled tour. You may transfer your purchase to another person. Please contact us to arrange this.
What happens if it rains?
Tours operate rain or shine unless weather forecasts call for risks of lightning or flash flooding.
