Explore Lake Pleasant, a Sonoran Desert oasis, just 30 minutes from Phoenix. We’ll visit coves, inlets and islands in the beautiful reservoir on standup paddle boards.
We make it easy for you to stand up paddleboarding so that you can arrive at the shore and get right into your SUP adventure. We’ll provide the SUPs, gear, supplies and instruction on the techniques of standup paddle boarding. Then we’ll hit the gorgeous waters of Lake Pleasant, paddling to the best features and attractions of the famous regional park. We even offer the opportunity to snorkel in beautiful clear waters of the coves. And, if we are lucky, we will observe the wild burros that roam the shores.
Experience the beauty of giant saguaro cacti and other Sonoran Desert plants and animals on the rocky, mountainous shoreline of a clear, cool lake. Paddle through numerous coves, inlets and around islands in the 7,500-acre reservoir in the regional park, which covers 23,000 acres.

- All Mad Desert Trekking rappelling adventures are lead by an expert, professional guide with either Wilderness First Responder or EMT certification
- Inflatable or hardtop SUP, leash, adjustable paddle and PFD

- Refreshments following your adventure
