Experience climbing classic Sonoran Desert Granite slab climbing in Phoenix, Arizona!

Wether you are interested in slab climbing, crack climbing, summiting a pinnacle or even multi-pitch climbing, we have you covered. Your Mad Desert Trekking guide will meet you at the trailhead and hike with you to the crags for amazing routes on classic Sonoran Desert granite in great climbing areas near Metro Phoenix and Scottsdale, plus other classic climbing areas in Central Arizona.

Adventure Details

We’ll customize your climbing adventure to your difficulty preferences.
Climb for two 3-4 hour sessions with a break for lunch in between.
Climb classic Sonoran Desert granite
Slab, crack, pinnacle and multi-pitch climbing routes available
Climb as much as you’d like and relax at incredible viewpoints with trail snacks and beverages provided by your guide.
We approach every rock climbing trip with your fun in mind.

What We Provide

All Mad Desert Trekking rock climbing adventures are lead by an expert, professional guide with either Wilderness First Responder or EMT certification
Lightweight backpacks, climbing harnesses, belay devices, carabiners, climbing helmets and rock climbing shoes for each climber to use
Bottles of purified water
Healthy trail snacks. We can accommodate dietary preferences.
Any admission fees to parks or preserves
Refreshments following your adventure
