- Go at your own speed. We’ll customize the hike to your preferred start time, mileage, terrain and grade.
- Meet your guides at the trailhead for the standard package.
- Transportation can be provided for a customized hiking tour for an extra charge. Please call 480-818-6821 for a quote if you would like transportation provided in your hiking tour.

My husband and I went on a sunrise hike up Camelback mountain and Matt was an awesome guide. He had everything we needed to hike and even had snacks and drinks for when we made it to the top. Such an exhilarating experience and Matt (our guide) made our climb up Camelback Mountain bery memorable! His communication and preparedness enabled me and my friends to make it all the way to the top! He brought backpacks, snack, equipment, and was very knowledgeable of the area and surroundings! Matt was a great guide! He was friendly and knowledgeable. He laid out a good plan for hiking the trail to the top of Camelback and broke the climb down in to parts to make it seem more doable. He was motivating and positive the whole hike which encouraged
me along the way. Highly recommend using Matt as a guide especially if you’re trying it by yourself.

This tour was seriously AMAZING! I really don't write reviews but I have to give a shout out to Mad Desert Trekking. We hiked Camelback Mountain in Arizona and Matt was our tour guide. He was so prepared and professional. He had to adjust the time of our tour because of the heat advisory (we went in mid June) and was so good about communicating everything ahead of time. He came prepared with everything we needed: lightweight hiking backpacks, snacks, water, gatorade, cold bandanas, and sunscreen. He was very attentive throughout the hike, making sure we were comfortable and feeling alright as we ascended. Camelback is an extremely hard hike and my sister and I are not experienced hikers. I don't know if we would have made it to the top without a guide. I know many people don't use guides but in my experience it was 100% worth it. Once we got to the Summit, Matt had snacks and drinks for us to enjoy and took any pictures we wanted. On our way down he made sure to show us all the great spots to sightsee and get pictures, while teaching us about the surrounding area. This was seriously such a fun hike and I would recommend this company to anyone going to Arizona! Matt was a great tour guide and so easy to chat with throughout! 10/10!

Had an amazing time hiking Camelback Mountain with my guide, Matt! He was absolutely wonderful! Knew all about the plants in the area, and even knew a secret little cave to hike to! He was patient with me, as I was a single traveler and not as "fit" as I would have liked. We were able to take our time, and he was great with guiding me up the mountain. I made it all the way to the top! He even provided a small victory snack once we arrived. I do suggest wearing layers depending on the time of year you go! It was cooler at the top once we arrived (I hiked in March), so I'm glad I brought a jacket with. Absolutely wonderful time and I highly recommend to anyone else to take a hike with Matt!

Our guide Matt was awesome during our Camelback mountain climb. He made the hike very enjoyable. It was definitely easier to go up the mountain than down the mountain. Shoes with good tread a huge plus. The experience exceeded our expectations. He also took some great pictures of us while hiking. Would highly recommend to individuals and families.
